Physics Education in Universities

B.S. Dmitriev, Yu.I. Levin, Yu.P. Sharaevsky
Saratov State University

The problems of modern physical education at university are discussed. The criteria and approaches of construction of a course of general physics at faculty of nonlinear processes of the Saratov university are stated.

Professional Direction of the Modern Course of Physics for the Students - Geophysics of the Classical University
L.L. Strahova, A.A. Ignatiev, S.V. Ovchinnikov
Saratov State University

Work experience in teaching physics for the students - geophysics (specialty 011200 "Geophysics") in the general physics faculty of Saratov State University is described.

The Task on the so-called "Atwood's machine" as a Test
V.I. Nikolaev
M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University

The famous task on the so-called "Atwood's machine" from the division "Mechanics" of the general physics course is considered as "a studies polygon". This task may be used as a simple and obvious example in the course of study of many subjects of the division. There is among them the subject connected with one of the most important stage of solution of physical tasks choosing an abstract model. The test is described which helps students (and pupils) to master the "technology" of choosing a set of model assumption with the help of which the task will be solving.

Theory of Relativity for First-Year High-School Students
K.V. Bychkov1, A.C. Nifanov2, I.M. Saraeva2
1Sternberg State Astronomy Institute
2Physics Department of Moscow State University

The concept of teaching the special relativity kinematics for the first-years high school students specialized in the physics and astronomy is presented.

On the Notion of "Relativistic Mass"
G.A. Rozman
Pskov State Pedagogical Institute

The article discusses the subject of mass in relativity and criticizes the commonly used notion of "relativistic mass".

On Increase of Efficiency of Teaching the Course of Basic Physics for Students of Engineering and Technical Qualifications
P.G. Kuzhir, N.P. Yurkevich, S.A. Postankevich
Belarusskaya State Polytechnic Academy

The analysis of cooperation between conceptual bases of a teacher and student is produced in the models of cooperation such as "intermediary", "inspector", "coworker". It's displayed that the model "coworker" to the greatest degree provides the achievement of the main goal to teach students fundamental disciplines. The basic organizational principles of methodical and laboratory equipment in the scope of the model "coworker" on the basis of the course of basics by the section "Solid physics" for students of engineering and technical qualifications were developed.

Computer Tests on General Physics Course and It's Role in Improvement of Students Knowledge at the Moscow State Academy of the Instrument and Information Technologies
A.S. Belanov, D.O. Zhukov, A.P. Matcnev, V.V. Sokolov
Moscow State Academy of the Instrument and Information Technologies

The demands, which must be corresponded the computer tests of the control of current and remaining knowledge on physics, are discussed in this paper. And the example on the remaining knowledge test is presented. In addition, the current control of knowledge was put into practice with the help of electronic testing system. All results are presented.

Creating and Using of The "Database Editor" for Making the Computer Programs for Test of the Student's Knowledge on the General Physics
D.O. Zhukov, V.V. Seleznev, V.O. Tichkin, N.A. Alexsandrov
Moscow State Academy of the Instrument and Information Technologies

Designed software "DATABASE EDITOR", for the test the student's knowledge of the physics and other subject. This program has many function for working with "DATABASE" and any user can work with it.

A Program for Generation the Test Checking Tickets
S.á. Kazantsev, í.á. Polivanov
ëÁzan State Technological University, E-mail: zamild@kstu.ru

Offered program on Excel for Windows, which allows to organize a base of questions for test checking on the physicist-mathematical cycle (as well as technical and humanitarian) and automate a scheduling the tickets.

Results of Centralized Testing on Physics
M.V. Alekseev, M.M. Alekseev
Surgut State University

The analysis of results of the centralized testing on physics in regional representation 8602 is given.

Use of Information Technologies for Amplification Fundamental Preparation on Physics of the Engineering Staff
A.V. Mashukov, A.E. Mashukova, N.I. Vershinina, O.V. Kargapoltseva,
O.A. Urchenko
Krasnoyarsk State Academy of Gold and Non-ferrous Metals

The concrete examples of occupations of various kinds (lecture, practical and laboratory occupations), spent with the help of a complex "computer-video-TV" are given.
The results of interrogation of the students in comparison of traditional and information technologies of training are given.

The Role of Computer Experiment in Physical Education
A.M. Tolstik
Tomsk State University

In this paper we discuss the role of computer demonstration and laboratory experiment as new methods of study of physics.

The Application of Ising's Model for Study of Magnetism
A.M. Tolstik
Tomsk State University

In this article, the method of study of magnetic properties with application of Ising's model is discussed. We describe the phase transition ferromagnetic - paramagnetic in this model and three author's computer laboratory works on magnetism are discussed.

PC Sound Card for Longitudinal Wave Exploration on General Physics Course
A.I. Moiseev, L.P. Murkin
Samara State Airspace University

We described the complex for the longitudinal wave exploration in roads by the PC sound card, which substitutes the generator and amplifier. PC makes the Fourier - transformation for signals.

Synergetic Principles in Teaching a Course "The Concepts of Modern Natural Sciences" for Humanists
T.Ya. Dubnischeva, A.D. Rozhkovsky
Faculty of philosophy
Novosibirsk State Academy of Economy and Management

This paper is devoted synergetic principles of teaching of a course "the concepts of modern natural sciences" for humanist. The experience of teaching shows, that synergetic principles allow to apprehend and evolution of a science, and process of mastering of knowledge as synergetic processes, as processes occurring periodically through bifurcation points.

Effects of Radiation: Doses and Hazards
