On Maxwell¢s Pendulum
V.I. Nikolaev
M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Faculty of Physics

The subject of discussion is the role of choosing of the reference system in which the motion equation and the momentum equation are written for a solid body when solving tasks on the topic "Plane motion". The main attention is paid to the question that several equivalent versions of writing the initial dynamics equations are possible. The basic ideas are illustrated by two concrete tasks - about the single Maxwell¢s pendulum and about two ones connected with each other.

The methodical aspects of interpretation of effect of interference fringe localization in partially coherent light are discussed. The display of a spatial coherence of light in the interferometers with division on amplitude is considered. It is shown, that the consideration of mutual spatial shift of interfering fields allows directly connecting spatial distribution of fringe visibility in the area of their localization with function of a spatial coherence of light. The theoretical estimations and experimental results for longitudinal distribution of fringe visibility in the area of localization in the Michelson interferometer with an extended source of white light are given.

E-mail: ngg@srdlan.npi.msu.su

The problems of particle and nuclear physics that could be solved using relativistic invariant: are discussed. The formula of thresholds energies is obtained and for some reactions thresholds are calculated. The energies attainable on accelerators with colliding beams are estimated for some modern colliders.

2 Volga State Engineering-pedagogical Institute

The central problem of perfection of engineering education considers a problem of increase of a level as professional, and natural science of preparation of the graduates, which, however, still is the key contradiction of modern didactical systems and causes existing discrepancy of high school preparation to qualitatively changed character of professional engineering activity in modern conditions.
This paper is devoted to searches of the sanction of the specified contradiction resulted to conceptual idea of transition from discipline system model (interdisciplinary of integration) contents of engineering education.

Kazan State University, Kremlievskaia str. 18, Kazan, 420008, Russia
E-mail: andrei.skvortzov@ksu.ru

The original approach in measuring of kinematics' characteristics of two-dimensional movements during demonstration or laboratory physical experiments is described. The measuring setup consists of video camera coupled to PC. This setup does not change experimental equipment and experimental technique of the demonstrations and laboratory experiments. So this approach can be widely used in education. The transition from qualitative demo experiments to quantitative ones gives a clearer insight into the nature of the phenomena, makes the demo experiments more convincing. The created software can be used in multimedia educational courses too. The usage of this setup in some experiments with collisions of balls is described as an example.

Measuring Computer Based Setup in Demonstration Experiments:

Kazan State University, Kremlievskaia str. 18, Kazan, 420008, Russia
E-mail: andrei.skvortzov@ksu.ru

The opportunities of a measuring setup consisting of a video camera coupled to PC for the analysis of the images during of the demo optical experiments are described. This setup requires neither additional mechanical systems for moving photosensitive elements nor other modifications of classical experiments. The opportunity of usage of this setup for realization of the relative photometric measurements is discussed. The original software can be used in multimedia educational courses without the measuring equipment. The operation of demo optical spectrometer is described as example. The advantages and disadvantages of the setup are analyzed.
