ABSTRACT

PHYSICS AND NATURE SCIENCE: YESTERDAY,TODAY,TOMOROW

A.D.Suchanov

Russian scientific centre ol physical education at Moscow State University

Within the framework of the conception of universal evolutionism (the idea noosphere of V.I. Vernadsky) are considered three levels of the unity - in knowledge and cultures as a whole - unity of natural science - unity ofphesics as its base. For achievement of the specified numose it is nesessury to conduct the deep analysis of the state of the art and development tendencies of physics as science, repudiate standart approch to the contens and structure of physics.

GENERAL PHYSICS IN TECHNICAL UNIVERSITIES

A.M. Vasffiev, B.A. Veklenko, A.A. Detlaf, O.A. Evtikhieva, V.A. Kasyanov

Moscow Power-Engineering Institute ( technical university )

World outlook aspects and the balance of fundameatal and applied theoretical concepts are discussed in terms of analysis of the program structure and basic features of a general physics course in a multi-faceted technical university.

Issues of continuity and modernization of courses and of laboratory training, organization of the educational process, and teaching in foreign languages are considered as a part of the problems of integration of the university systems of different countries, the mobility of students, and general acceptance of educational certificates.

MULTELEVEL PHYSICS TRAINING AND WAY OF ITS REALIZATION IN EDUCATIONAL PROCESS

G.G. Spirin

Moscow State Aviation Institute (technical university)

The concept multi-level physics laboratory work, which supposes differentiation of training, for students in laboratories courses in physics, department, has found support and approval among the pedagogical community.

At the same time, the realization of this concept in educational process at technical university of higher education entails certain difficulties of both a methodological and a technical nature.

In the article, various aspects of this problam as considered, using the organization of multi-level laboratory work in the Physics Department of the Moscow State Aviation Institute ( technical university ) as an example.

ESTABLISHMENT OF EDUCATIONAL EQUIPMENT FOR MODERN PHYSICS LABORATORIES IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE INTER - UNIVERSITY TECHNOLOGICAL PROGRAM "EDUCATIONAL INGINEERING "

Yu. S. Pesotsky

Russian research-and-production association "Rosuchpribor"

Issues of establishment and manufacture of modern educational equipment for complex set-ups for laboratories and lecture-demonstrations classrooms in physics departments in universities and other institutes of higher education are considered.

ESTABLISHMENT OF A BASE DEMONSTRATION CLASSROOM IN THE GENERAL PHYSICS AND NUCLEAR FUSION DEPARTAMENT OF MPEI

V.S. Spivak, K.S. Bolotina, Yu. 1. Selin, A.T. Komov

Moscow Power - Engineering Institute ( MPEI ) ( technical university )

Demonstration set-ups and equipment and their methodical maintenance are described in the framework of a program for a general physics course for technical universities developed by the General Physics and Nuclear Fusion Department of MPEI together with the research and manufacturing organization Rosuchpribor.

COMPUTER AND VIDEO ACCOMPANIMENT FOR GENERAL PHYSICS LECTURIES: NEW TECHNOLOGIES

R.P. Krentsis, F.A. Sidorenko, D.V. Krotov

Ural State Politechnical University

A new technology of use of the modern technical supports for teaching ( computer, videorecorder and videocamera ) in physics lectures is proposed.

Computer program packages, their didactic filling and interactive capabilities are described. Requirements for demonstrations of computer experiments are stated. The effectiveness of unifying computer and video techniques by making videos about experimental physics lectures is noted.

The positive aspects of using aew technologies in training of students are emphasized.

PHYSICS PROBLEM IN MODERN MINERALOGY

М.I. Novgorodova

Institute of Geology of Ore Deposits, Russian Academy of Science

Modern mineralogy uses achievements of many areas of physics in order to study the real structure and properties of minerals.

One aspect of the problam of natural adiabatic processes occurring during crystallization and following transformations in dynamically developed natural systems in the fields of longlasting pressure in the Earth's crust is analysed.

RELATIVISTIC MOTION IN THE NUCLEI OF GALAXIES IN GENERAL PHYSICS COURSE

D. Gabuzda

P.J4. Lebedev Physical Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences, University of Calgary, Canada

In lectures about special relativity, usually few examples are presented of large scale relativistic motion occurring in nature. The central regions of active galaxies offer several good examples of observable relativistic effects, discussion of which is quite accessible to students in the early years at university.

ARBITRARINESS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF PHYSICS

Andrzej K. Wroblewski

Institute of Experimental Physics, Warsaw University, Poland

Arbitrarineas in the development of physics сан be threefold: firstly dictated by the initial natural conditions; secondary resulting from social and economic matter; thirdly arising from strictii personal choice.
