Physics in Higher Education The contents 3 The Optional Courses as a Compulsory Module of the Higher Professional Educational System
Abstracts The Optional Courses as a Compulsory Module of the Higher Professional Educational System The problem of choosing the optional courses contents for the students of the Faculty of Physics is discussed in the present article. The courses «Thermodynamics of Biological Systems» and «The Global Problems of the Present» are given as an example. Celestial Mechanics in General and Theoretical Physics: Teaching in the MIPT and in the UC, Department of JINR In this papers we are talking about teaching of the celestial mechanics in the two leading Russian educational centers, besides all the history of this science is written – starting with Claudius Ptolemy and his model of the static Earth and epicycles of planets and ending with Albert Einstein and his predictions of the gravitational curvature of rays of light near the big masses, for example solar mass. The methodology of teaching is described very wide, particularly we are talking about useful role of the «Collection of the programs and tasks».
Some Remarks about Laboratory Work on the Subject of Skin-effect The analysis of the operation of the laboratory work «Skin-effect» at the general physics practicum of MSU is made. In this work the student measure the a.c. resistance of the wire wound in the form of inductance coil.
Model Study of University Students Independent Experimental Physical Research and Progress in Implementing Describes the main results of the application developed an innovative model of training students to conduct independent experimental physics research. It is shown that for the successful preparation of students for the workshop aims laboratory must meet the challenges that are solved by physicists-experimenters in conducting real research. The basic requirements, implementation of which will provide the necessary training of students. A Comparative Study of the Interaction of Beta-radiation of and Isotopes with Materials in Laboratory Practicum Experimental procedure to compare the absorption of the beta rays of and isotopes by solid and liquid materials was developed. The study demonstrated the possibility of setting appropriate laboratory works in nuclear physics has been shown. Laboratory Work on the Etude Energy Hydrogen of Systems no Equilibrium of Bachelors in Physics Laboratory work of studying of nonequilibrium release of hydrogen and deuterium molecules from metals under effect of an electronic beam it is represented. Method of studying it is based on measurement volt – ampere characteristics and its processing that allows enough simple to receive interesting physically results and makes work Practice and Prospects of Applications of High-Temperature Diffusion Camera A clearness and informativity are of crucial importance in educational experiment. The track devices allow you to get comprehensive information on ionizing particles. Technical difficulties associated with the use of sources of ionizing radiation, manufacture and operation of tracking devices, eliminated by the use of high-temperature diffusion camera (HTDC). The article contains characteristics of HTDC, photos of tracks, the description of laboratory work at the course of Atomic physics. There was made an Analysis of options for the application of HTDC in the University, the school and ecology.
Investigation of Temperature Dependence of Metals Heat Capacity The description of experimental setup intended to study temperature dependence of metals heat capacity in student laboratory works is given. The technique of measurements realization and experimental data analysis is considered. The experimental results are compared with tabulation. Plasmotron as a Resonant Acoustic Radiator The mechanism of discrete tones generation in the plasmotron noise spectra is considered. The physical model of resonant excitation of gas pulsations during flow passage by the air-gas plasmotron path is presented. The model is coordinated with experimental data and can be used in the educational and practical purposes. Didactic Bases of Educational Experiment
for the Demonstration of Movement Relativity Didactic requirements to educational physical experiment on relativity of mechanical movement are formulated in the paper. It is shown that the experiment based on getting trajectories with time marking by means of powder figures satisfies completely the listed requirements. A Methodological Unity of Mental and Virtual Experiments in Physics and Analytical Natural Sciences The article examines the methodological unity of mental and virtual experiments in physics and analytical natural sciences. A number of specific examples of virtual experiments, production of which is difficult in natural form, are given. Improvement Ways of Teaching Methods of Physics in Conditions of Credit Technology of Training Students of HEIs The article is devoted to the actual problem of improving methods of teaching physics at HEI. Teaching physics as an educational discipline in conditions of credit technology has many problems. One of the methods of their solutions is using analog method. The Problems of Federal State Educational Standards of Higher Professional Education on Physics Realization in Context of Mathematical Model «Knowledge — Abilities — Skills» The mathematical model permitting to optimize a trajectory of student professional competences accumulation on a level of the group is suggested. The educational plan, working program for training direction and the results of entrance testing are required for operation of the model.
Intensive-Action Teaching on Physics in the Third Education Standard The peculiarities, the block-diagram of the learning physical mode and the model of method system for Intensive-action Teaching were described. The system of formation of bachelor’ competencies at self-learning on Physics by Teacher Leadership at student Unassisted Work at new variety Education Process in Modern University was worked out. Phase Transitions in Physics and in Testing Phase transitions in physical bodies are compared with phase transitions in testing. The phase transition in testing is treated as the loss of cause-effect relationship between the conditions of the test item and the answer of a student. It is shown that the first order and the second order phase transitions in testing are similar to those in physics. Methods of detecting the phase transition to guessing are described. They are based on the modern test theory. It was established that phase transition to guessing can take place both for multiple-choice and open-ended test items. The statistical indicator for detecting the phase transition to interaction between students when they answer multiple-choice test items is proposed. Methods of the Decision of Problems of Theoretical Mechanics and Problem of their Mastering by the Future Engineers The technique of formation at students of technical colleges of the generalized methods of the decision of problems of theoretical mechanics is offered. The given technique consists of several stages: the organization of special activity on mastering of knowledge necessary and sufficient for performance of actions of methods, mastering by trainees of universal packages of operations; formation of methods in the generalized kind.
