The methods of teaching one of the key effects of Special Relativity Theory
(SRT), the space interval length relativity (the Lorenz contraction), are
considered. It’s improvement by means of revealing the non-Euclidian
geometry of 3-dimensional space in inertial frame is suggested.

In this article one can find the experience of solving some issues of
educational programs on the grounds of integrating such courses as
mathematics, physics and informatics. In Mathematics lessons the
differential equation which cannot be solved by analytical methods is
considered. To motivate the solution of it we offer the physical problem,
where the law of motion corresponds completely to the type of equation. Then
the problem is solved by digital methods with the application of computers.
The use of application mathematical packages can help in engineer’s
professional activity in the future.
Observation of Domain Structure
in Yttrium Iron Garnet Film and Study of Its Transformation in Magnetic
Field

The laboratory work on observation and study of domain structure in
ferrimagnetic yttrium iron garnet film by means of Faraday Effect is
described. Behavior of magnetic structure in an external magnetic field is
studied: transition from labyrinth structures to a one-domain state and
formation of cylindrical magnetic domains (CMD). The dependence of the size
of CMD on intensity of an external magnetic field, a field of elliptic
instability of CMD is measured. The thickness of the investigated film is
estimated from the obtained results.

general physics are given. The paper contains the description of physics
lecture-room with the set of technical training aids (TTA), including the
television facilities. Recommendations on using demonstrations of the
Department of Physics of St. Petersburg State Maritime Technical University
are introduced here. The paper may be useful for physics high-school
teachers and lecturers at relative subjects.

Arguments for the benefit of inclusion in programs of high school physics
courses some questions connected to a phenomenon of gold mean are given. The
method of studying of characteristics of the optical devices constructed
with use of Fibonacci principle is considered. It is shown that mastering

Electrostatic Sticking of Likely Charged Bodies

On an example of a disk and ball the effect electrostatic in repulsive
(sticking) of the same charged is described. The experiment is carried out,
in which conducting ball suspended on a string, and metal disk adjoin, being
are connected to a source of a high voltage. At smooth increase of a voltage
the ball continues to hang on a string, concerning a disk, and only at
achievement of the certain voltage, about one and a half ten kilovolt occurs
it divergence from a disk. The theory, which is taking into account the
electrostatic image of a ball in a disk, shows, that the stability
equilibrium of a ball about a disk is really possible only at excess by a
voltage of some critical meaning exceeding ten kilovolt.

the Physical Workshop for the Students Being Educated in Biology

The physical workshop for the students in a biology department has been
described. Novel ideas in the content and training system of the labs have
been offered. Distinguishing feature of the labs in the physical workshop is
their two-part system; one part is invariable and another part is variable.
The latter corresponds to the specifics of professional training. The key
element of the lab workshop is the use of multi-media manuals in the process
of preparations for the labs.

Results of pedagogical experiment on research of influence of the contents
of a course and a technique of training physics, based on synthesis of
methodological and applied knowledge, on increase of a learning efficiency
and development of pupils, are presented. By results of experiment, the
conclusion is done, that updating of school physics education based on
synthesis of methodological and applied knowledge promotes formation of
knowledge of pupils, development of intellectual abilities and competence
qualities of pupils.
