Physics in Higher Education
The Mental Development in Physics Learning The development of physics thinking involving the qualitative analysis of the equations of motion and the exact numerical calculations is demonstrated in the case of a swinging Atwood's machine. The problem can be analyzed either in the frame of the course of Classical Mechanics in Theoretical Physics or in the general course of physics.
Evolution of the Content of Physical Education in Connection with the
Internet In connection with the use the Internet are revealed the principles of the evolution of the content of the physical education, which supplement and limit the principles of the formation of the traditional content.
New Achievements of Optics and Their Reflection
in the Modern Physics Education The last two decades are characterized by numerous outstanding achievements
in the field of optics: generation of femtosecond laser pulses withš
peak intensityš of the order of 1021W/cm2š, creation of opticalš fiber
communication systems with bit rate of 1015šc-1, laser cooling of atoms
up to temperatures of 10-8šK, building of telescopes with super high
resolution, etc.
Thermodynamic Equations of State for the Classical Ideal Gas and their
Generalization via the "Effective" Parameters. The unified method for describing of the ideal classical gas in the course of general physics is considered. It is based on the use of the "effective" thermodynamic parameters depending upon the temperature. The thermal and caloric equation of state (usually known as equipartition law for the inner energy) is generalized by means of the effective quantum-statistical potential and all the corrections are calculated explicitly.
About Quasi Stationary Approach in Problems of Hydrodynamics of an Ideal
Incompressible Liquid in a Course of the General Physics The two problems ((1) about piston which press out the liquid from cylindrical
horizontal vessel through a small hole and (2) about flow of liquid from
wide open vertical cylindrical vessel through a small hole in bottom)
are considered. The initial (nonsteady) stages of a motion of liquid
(which can't be described by Bernoulli's equation)
Study of
Heat Capacity of Low Dimensional Structures in the General
Physics Course The particular features of dispersion laws and density of states of phonon spectra in the layer systems characterized by weak interlayer interaction (strong intralayer interaction)šš are analyzed. By help receiving density of states the low temperature heat capacity are calculated and the possibilities of Debye model for these structures are studying.
Fresnel Zones and Spring Frostš
For explaining the reasons for spring frost and sharp temperature decreases in other seasons is assumed that this can be connected with the overlap of the central Fresnel zones in the Sun with planets Mercury or Venus and by the Moon.
Studying the Dynamic Chaos in the General Course of Physics The article describes the experience in the introduction of the modern scientific advances to the course of physics in the technical institute of higher education. The technique of representing to the students the role of nonlinearity, instability in the process of evolution and in the emergence of the dynamic chaos is considered.
Definition of Parameters of the Oscillatory Processes Proceeding in
the Transformer in Tasks of a Course of the General Physics From positions of physics of the electromagnetic phenomena relationships
of cause and effect of the processes developing in the transformer in
a mode of the closed secondary electric circuit are considered. For definition
of parameters of electric circuits of the transformer in the research
purposes the simple method of calculation based on use of
Digital Nonlinear Interferogram Treatment
Here is described the nonlinear algorithm of digital interferogram treatment, which makes it possible to increase sensitivity and to estimate the level of noise.
The Automatic System of Managing Physical Experiment in Educational
Institutions A new software-equipped complex based on the automatic system of collecting experimental data and managing physical experiment have been developed and created. It allows replacing various measuring appliances in experimental installations both in educational and scientific laboratories. The automatic experimental installations (laboratory works) and their corresponding descriptions (methodological development) are productively applied in general-physics practical studies at physical faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University and in other Russian and CIS higher education institutions as well.
Application of Methods of the Mathematical Simulation of Physical Experiments
in the Student Diploma Projects Based on the example of the student diploma works, executed in Moscow State Institute of Radio Engineering, Electronics and Automation (Technical University), Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (Technical University) and Moscow State University Faculty, of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics under the management of author, is carried out the analysis and are formulated systematic recommendations regarding the use "computational experiment" in the diploma projects.
Modern Methods of Physical Experiment in Student Researchš Teaching
of Condensed Substances Surfaceš Physics Methodical approaches to studying of possibilities of structural researches of solid state surfaces with the help of probe microscopy and secondary-electron spectroscopy methods as applied to educational and research last-term student activity are observed. It's shown that appropriate planning and organization methodic of this activity serves to building up of methodological culture among students in field of physical experiment as well as to understanding of correlation between experiment, theory and practice.
