About Methodology of Teaching Basic General Relativity in the Course General Physics for University Students

Methodological aspects of teaching basic General Relativity (GR) for junior university students in physics, unacquainted with tensor analysis are considered. In the article the teaching goal, material selection criteria and adaptation principles of original GR to teaching process in high school are presented. The compressed space conception (CSC) is suggested as the methodological base of teaching GR in high school.

About the Possibility of Solving Standard Problems of General Relativity in the General Physics Course

Within the article the simple calculation methods based on compressed space conception (CSC) are presented. Solving a number of standard problems of GR has been carried out for the case of weak gravitational fields. In particular, the following problems have been considered: gravitational shift of spectrum, time delay of radio signal in gravitational field, planet's orbit perihelion shift.

Calculation of Magnetic Moments of Light Nuclei on the Results of Measurement of Their g-factors by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance

The laboratory work which makes it possible to calculate the magnetic moments of proton, deuteron and fluoride nuclei on measurements of their g-factors by NMR-technique is described. The data obtained are compared with the calculations of magnetic moments on the basis of quark model of hadrons. The work is devoted for its use in a laboratory of general physics in high-schools of any specialization. The laboratory work described allows to expose students with various physical aspects such as Zeeman splitting of nuclear levels, selection rules for radiation (absorption) of gamma-quanta, single particle shell model of nuclei, connection between angular momentum of nuclei and its magnetic moment, quark structure of a proton and a neutron.

Determination of Heat Capacity of Metals

Possibilities of using cylindrical samples for measuring the material heat capacity are considered. Detailed description of the experimental setup including the calorimeter design, experimental methodology and data analysis is presented. The experimental results show that the proposed setup can be used for determination of heat capacity of materials in student laboratory works and in scientific research.

About Using Studying Materials of Big Size in Distance Form of Education

In this article the main problems of processing of large volumes of video information in distance learning are described. The solution for storage and rapid delivery of educational video data is given. The solution is based on using the original model of distributed data storage. The model which designed by authors suggests to distribute video data between many sources of storage and organization of parallel data fragments delivery using many connection channels. The coordination of delivering process is managed by central server of distance learning system. In this article the main results of experiments of storage and delivery video data in distance learning framework are presented. These results demonstrate the far better effectiveness of using the described model than using standard facilities for storage and delivery video data.

In this article the possibilities of carrying out computational "experiments" when studying the subject "Oscillations" are presented. They can be used both in computer class when students do their independent research and in course of professor's explanations at the lecture. All the computational experiments are carried out in MATLAB software.
