Modeling process is the methodic foundation for any course of theoretical physics.
Here we present so-called semiotic approach to the modeling process in the
course of theoretical physics for pedagogical university. In the case of theoretical
physics this approach means application of the "family" of special languages
to formalize a physical model. These languages are: the "natural" verbal languages
(Russian, English) in their professional form, mathematics, and the internal
languages of computer modeling. We discuss how to construct an appropriate
"meta-language" of modeling for the purposes of the education at pedagogical
university.

The brief review of the place and role of thermodynamics in the modern course
of physics in high-school education is given. It is shown that there are many
possibilities for much more effective use of this field of physics in scientific
and methodological purposes. The problems of thermodynamics as non-classical
field of physics and some ways their solution are discussed.
The Potential Discovered by F.A. Neuman

It is strange, that the vector and scalar potentials, which were actively and
successfully used for the description of electromagnetic phenomena (before
the Maxwell theory was recognized) were claimed as "unphysical". This was unjustified
even in 19-th century, but survived until now. The role of potentials in the
relativity theory, the refuse of the force description in quantum theory and
the unified dynamical theory of fundamental interactions makes it necessary
to reformulate the wrong traditions, which were formed in the teaching of classical
physics.
The Educational Environment as Means of Improving
Physics Learning Efficiency in High School
A.I. Nazarov, C.D. Hanin
Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia

The methodology of creation the educational environment at the "Mechanics"
course based on opportunities of computer and communication technologies is
stated. The analysis of this environment efficiency for physics training to
regional high school students is lead.
Thermal Radiation Properties Studying in Medial Institutes

Irkutsk State Technical University
Methods of electromagnetic thermal radiation studying, adapted to the medical
institutes, are considered.

UHF by Means of Lecher Wires
V.V. Larionov, G.V. Garanin
Tomsk Politechnical Institute
prosp. Lenina 30, 634004 Tomsk, Russia
The paper is dealt with the peculiar features of the improved laboratory
work on the investigation of electric waves of Lecher line. The complete
engineering data of the equipment are given that allows reproducing it
within the university experimental workshops.
The Peculiarities of Electronic Courses by the Distant Learning of the
Engineer Specialties
S.P. Medvedev, R.M. Pecherskaya
Penza State University

The demands are formulated and the examples are constructed to the organization
of the electronic courses on the physical grounds of the semiconductor devices.

The unity of two main goals – investigation of the physical sense for computer-aided
simulations and natural science methodology application to these studies –
is discussed. The usual form of laboratory works is completed by some practical
problems and exercises.

Quality of physics education and problems of professional training in physics
education have been studied in the paper. Different ways of modernization and
improvement of laboratory activities in physics and methods of physics education
are under discussion with the view of education efficiency enhancement.
Lessons of Physics Students
- Methodological Culture Development Possibilities
S.V. Bublikov, S.P. Molevanik
Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia
Moika emb., 48, 191186, Saint-Petersburg, Russia
General methodological culture characteristics that might be possible to form
the students‘ awareness of are given. The approach to intensive methodological
culture development based on evaluating problems is given.

The problems of introducing of the competency approach as one of the basic
elements of modern IT on the experience of the teaching physics course in the
ordinary and high school is discussed. Some experimental data, obtained during
the varieties study of physics, are also considered.

Nowadays there is a great demand for specialists with professional education
in physics. High quality of education in physics is the basis of pupils' future
success. The effectiveness of physics education depends on development of pupils'
mental abilities, thoroughness of their knowledge, highly-qualified teachers
and technical support of educational process. The present article deals with
reasons for modernizing education in physics and ways of improving its quality.
